I want to nominate my wife, Katie. She is the mother of 4 crazy boys. She is a domestic violence survivor and uses her past experience to help other women. She has Addison disease and is often exhausted and will gain weight unexpectedly. She has run many 5k's a few 10K's and 2 mini marathons. I do not know how she does it. She knows she is not the fastest and some days is too tired to run, but will get up at 6am to squeeze it in so it will not take away from me or the kids. She runs to work through her PTSD and depression. She pushes through sleeplessness, sick kids, stress, and pain. She encourages women of abuse and any women to do something for themselves. She believes running makes her feel powerful and wants all women to feel that. She runs to show her boys that women can be strong, that you can "come back" from anything. She wants them to know, women are to be respected. Every time she puts her running shoes on, I am inspired to be a better husband and dad. I am proud of her.
